Splitter! is a lightweight and affordable A/B testing tool that Analytics Metal installs and configures for you, within your own tag management system. Once installed, you own Splitter! and can conduct as many A/B experiments as you wish.

We configure everything in your tag management system, which both executes the A/B test and sends data to your analytics account(s), making comparisons between experiment variants possible. We also enable your first A/B test with Splitter!, so that you can see how it works and see the built-in value for future testing that you will now be able to activate.

When you purchase Splitter!, the following actions will take place:

- You will receive a welcome email with an outline of immediate next steps, timeline of events and point(s) of contact.

- Our team receives access to install tags and configure analytics events.

- We install tags, triggers, and custom variables within your tag manager.

- We configure events in your analytics platform.

- We create an "Explore" report (GA4 only) so you can see test data associated with website visitor activity. (Custom reports or equivalent in your analytics platform).

- We enable a reporting dashboard which will include control and test metrics, including a Probability to Beat Original statistical measure of performance likelihood.

- We activate your first A/B test, identifying a critical element that can be tested to help optimize website visitor conversions, sales, and/or overall performance KPIs.

We typically see anywhere from a one to a three week turnaround time from the moment Splitter! is purchased to a live and in-production A/B experiment. This timeframe includes ensuring we receive payment for Splitter!, access to your tag management system and analytics account(s), confirming the actual experiment that will be activated and implementing all of the necessary tags and event tracking.

Yes. In order for Analytics Metal to deliver and activate Splitter!, we must have editor (or higher) level access to your tag management system and your analytics account(s).

Splitter! is compatible with any tag management system that allows for custom HTML or custom JavaScript tags / blocks / snippets to be created. This includes Google Tag Manager, Tealium IQ, Ensighten, and others.

The short answer is yes, you can. However, since the Splitter! service offering is designed to be delivered and deployed via a tag management system (Google Tag Manager, Tealium IQ, Ensighten, or equivalent), we would need to work closely with your IT or technical team to install Splitter! correctly, ensuring data is sent correctly to your analytics platform and experiment data can be collected and analyzed.

Yes, we can work with your organization and create a customized plan if you intend on purchasing Splitter! for some or all of the websites / TLDs that you manage. We recommend that you choose a first TLD to start (which can be purchased for $599 as normal), and then we can work with you directly on a customized plan.
